Welcome to Herot

Well, actually...just welcome to the classroom blog. However, like the famed mead hall Herot, I hope that this site will serve as a unifying meeting place for all my students, a site of celebration, and comfort and a source of information and support. The purpose of this blog is threefold.

First, there is a page marked "Journal." Every week there will be one journal prompt offered. You will enter your response as a "comment" and write at least two well-developed paragraphs. In addition, you will comment--and I am looking for thoughtful genuine engaged and intelligent commentary here, between two and six sentences long--on the responses of at least two fellow students.

Secondly, note the page entitled "Readings." each week there will be a poem, editorial, article--sometimes and image--posted. You will write a three paragraph critical response to the week's reading and comment on the responses of two fellow students.

Lastly, note the "Questions" page. This is a place to ask questions or express confusions related to any reading, assignments or discussions currently afoot in our studies.
